Alice sighed and rushed for Physical Education class. It was a bogus class, and her time was better spent doing so many other things, but nooo, at Duchesne they weren't allowed to opt out of gym class if they did other sports on their own time. Alice acquiesced and participated competitively in gym class. If she had to do it, she might as well do it well, was her way of thinking.
Because there was no locker room in the school, everyone changed in the hallways. Alice was okay with public displays of nudity and thought nothing of changing in the hallway. She was wearing leg warmers over tights underneath a denim skirt today, so that made it easy to put on sweatpants, as it was cold in the wintertime. Alice took off her royal purple cashmere sweater and revealed a lighter purple tank top. She pulled the straps down to reveal a lacy purple bra, which she quickly covered with a black sports bra. In less than two minutes, a loose tee-shirt hung from her thin frame and her clothes lay in a pile on top of her gym bag.
She folded the clothes carefully and placed them into her gym bag. She found her Bulgari White Tea Charm perfume in her large tote bag and spritzed herself thrice. She placed it on the floor next to her. Next, she put on her socks and sneakers, then spritzed her shoes with perfume before putting it away. Alice hadn't been paying attention to the conversations floating around her and she hadn't noticed anyone standing directly near her either. So, when she stood up and bumped into someone- a sign of awkwardness the old Alice never would have shown- she immediately apologized to him.

"Don't worry about it. It was partly my fault, I wasn't paying much attention. I guess since it's right before gym that wasn't the best of ideas." Oliver replied as he helped her stay upright and not fall over, as he laughed at his own stupidity.
"I tend to zone out at moments when I shouldn't. How I pass any of my classes I have no idea."
Oliver shrugged to himself as he looked at her, "I didn't hurt you before did I?"

Alice blushed slightly, unused to the situation. Running her hand through her hair and pulling a curl behind her ear, she replied, "Oh, no, it's- I do that too." She accepted his hand and held his arm as she steadied herself. "Hah, classes," Alice said lightly. Though she was trying to be a better person, including trying to be a more studious enrollee at Duchesne.
"I didn't hurt you before did I?" Alice was surprised but didn't show it. Her smooth features gave away no thought behind the piercing eyes. "No. No, of course not. It was my fault," she said, now wrinkling her brow a bit. "I guess I was just in a hurry to get to gym class," she laughed. "Not that that's weird at all," she joked. Truthfully, the quicker it came, the quicker it would be over, she thought. Kind of like feeding, actually, she thought, stunned that the thought even came up.

Oliver laughed, "Why would you hurry to gym? Its totally pointless. I don't know why they make some of the people here take that class."
Being as close to the Vampires a Red Blood like him could be, Oliver had always thought it unfair that the Blue Bloods were made to take classes like Gym since they had an unfair physical advantage over the rest of the class. He shrugged mentally, nothing he could do about it.
"I'm thinking about skipping out of my next class, care to join me?"
Ok, well, that was spur of the moment. I was going to skip my class, but I was going to ask Sky if she wanted to join me. Oh well, I'm not going to take my invite back now. Besides, hanging out with people other then Sky might be a good idea every now and again.

"I don't know why they make some of the people here take that class." The corners of Alice's mouth turned up. She knew he was referring to her Blue Blood status, and she recognised him to be a conduit. Or rather, she had seen him in the Repository but could not see any Illuminata.
"Eh, it's still exercise," she shrugged. "It helps keep me fit." Alice used to love working out at the gym- smoothies, a toned body, and hot guys watching as she surprised them with her strength. Where else can you wear almost nothing and not be fined for doing so? It used to be so much fun.
Alice lifted one eyebrow. Skip gym? The idea of it certainly seemed fun, as gym class was most certainly not fun. But the teacher would definitely realise that one of the fastest students was absent; it was true, the blue bloods stood out in gym class by far.
"Sure. Why not? I'll just tell them I had cramps later," she laughed. Alice reached down and grabbed a black sweatshirt before tying her hair into a ponytail. "Kay. So where were you planning on going?" she asked, linking her arm with his. It was a bold move, sure; she didn't really know him that well, but what the hell? As far as Alice was concerned, she was more and more becoming like her old self.

"I didn't need to know your excuse to get out of gym. It was to much information and now I have images in my head that i did not need to have," Oliver pretended to shudder, " However, I hadn't really thought of what to do instead of going to class; som I'm game to pretty much anything."
Oliver thought about what they could do, we could go to the Repository, but Renfield would be there and that guy was a bit stuffy and would bug them about not attending classes.
Oliver had noticed that she had slipped her arm in his, but hadn't said or done anything to indicate what his thoughts on the matter were, hell, he didn't even know that himself.

"Haha you know you adore images of me in your head." she giggled jokingly. It occured to her that she was being overly friendly to someone she barely knew and that it was so unlike her. It also occured to her that this is who she wanted to be: like a better version of her old self, meaning minus the useless drugs, sex, and alcohol. Well, I'll work on it over time, she thought, but she was on the right track.
"Why don't we get something to drink first and then just walk around. I mean, it's Manhattan. There are tons of stuff that are just waiting for us to skip class and go do," she laughed. She thought about what Dorian would do. As memories flooded her mind, she rescinded that way of thinking, because she didn't think the Pennsylvania Dutch would appreciate it very much. She smirked just remembering her older brother coming home trying to explain his way out of that to their father. Lily would probably go shopping or to the spa, but she didn't think Oliver would have as much fun.
"We'll just walk around and talk or something until we figure out what to do. Lincoln Center isn't too far away," Alice shrugged. With her arm still in his, she started to walk towards the nearest exit, pulling him slightly along with her. "Let's go!" she exclaimed, excited- something she had not really been in a long while.

"I adore images of you in my head like I need an extra hole in my head" Oliver replied, but you could hear the laughter in his voice. He yelped at the sudden pull of his arm, blushed and muttered, "You didn't hear me do that."
Oliver wondered why she didn't just say they were going to go shopping. Isn't that what girls do half the time anyway? Oliver thought about what he and Sky would usually do when they hung out. They would usually wander in and out of stores until one of them got bored and dragged the other back to Oliver's house to hang out. Now adays however, Oliver would be finding Sky with Bliss as they shopped around for more clothes for the next photo-op meeting. Even when they did get together, Oliver wondered if it was more because she needed to feed then to truely hang out.
Realizing he had been silent for a while he spoke, "How does it feel? Being what you are I mean."

I bolded the words she said this time cuz there's a whole big bit thing towards the end...i thought it might be easier for you to read that way
“Of course I didn’t,” Alice laughed in response. Alice was excited now, and hyper to boot. Her energy levels were usually all over the place, and this time, she was on a high. Now if only she could find some sugar…
There were almost out the door when Oliver’s question surprised her. She suddenly remembered she didn’t have her purse with her. “Hold on, I’ll be right back. I just realised I forgot my bag.” Alice jogged back to where they had come from and grabbed her tote bag. Making sure everything was inside, she walked back, in full sight of Oliver, and thought about the question.
"How does it feel? Being what you are I mean." It was such a loaded question and Alice didn’t even know where to begin. She supposed she could pretend as if she hadn’t heard the question, but what would he think? Or, she could try to change the subject really quickly and awkwardly. She reached her fellow escapee before she had decided and then it was all too late.
“Well, it’s…it’s odd.” Alice looked up at the sky as she walked out the door with Oliver following behind her. She waited for him to move next to her before continuing. “You see, I was a vegan before…well, before I found out…And since- since then, since I’ve found out, it’s a bit hard,” her voice trailed away into the busy Manhattan air. “I mean, there are some advantages,” she conceded, “But at the same time, it’s tough. People not knowing what you are, trying to explain things that are otherwise unexplainable…”
She thought about who she was talking to and she realised that it might actually, maybe, just possibly be harder for someone in his position. “What about you? None of the benefits…you know what I meant…but keeping a secret for generations…umm the fee-” Alice broke off, covering up her mishap with a cough. “How do you deal with it all?”

Oliver shrugged, but was silent for a moment as he thought about the question Alice had shot back at him, It's easier for me I guess, since I've been aware and around....them...for pretty much all of my life. I guess being told people like you are real when you're at an age where you believe everything your parents tell you is better then finding out as a teenager."
Oliver thought about when he first met Schuyler and how she would constantly shun away from him. It annoyed him, even at that young age, that he was unable to do what his family wanted him to. He had felt like he was failing them.
"The only difficulty I really remember was not telling the other people in the class as we grew up, but the most difficult was not being able to tell Sky. Both about me and herself."
