Schuyler hugged the books to her chest and raised her chin. She was on her way to her next class, taking the smallest steps possible, Math...ugh. Her worst subject. The teacher wasn't all that likable either. She heaved a long sigh, removing one slender hand from the books she was clutching, in order to push a stand of stray ebony hair behind her ear. Schuyler liked her hair, and most people, of the small number who spoke to her, said that her hair was one of her best attributes. Second to her unique style.
Her look was both messy and well put-together at the same time. Knee-high lace up boots, tights and a black and gray plaid skirt. A dark gray tank top and a lighter gray sweater, hanging loosely on her frail figure, were today's combination. She noted both the admiring and disapproving looks from the fashionable Duchesne girls as she made her way down the hall. Shrugging her slim shoulders, Schuyler turned a corner, walking right into another solid body. The small pale girl squeaked and dropped her books as she took a step back, eyes wide. She never let herself appear this vulnerable in public, but she'd been caught by complete surprise.
"Oh uh...um."
{sorry if it sucks...lol. I haven't really RPd in a while....think I've lost my touch d:}

Jessica thought and thouhgt to figure out where she had heard it, well she knew her father said it but she didn't know when or where she heard it. All she remembered was she wasn't supposed to be there when she did. After thinking she snapped back to reality. Then she looked at Schuyler and said "I am from London, England and thats where I think I heard it and that was the first time I ever heard him talking about my mom, she dissappeared a week after I was born and he never talks about except that one time which was the only time I can remember."
Jessica then turned her thoughts back to classes and replied "You could get it although my math teacher is so boring so most of the time I just learn from the tons of homework he gives out." Jessica laughed a bit.

{sorry i took so long....lots of stuff to do >.> I'm supposed to be studying my butt off right now d: so feel lucky hehe}
Schuyler flinched at the girls loud words, her defenses almost instantly rising once again. Sharp blue eyes narrowed as she reached for her books, unconsciously pressing them back to her chest. "It was an accident." She flicked her eyes down to the tiles, checking for any books or sheets that the other girl might have missed. Schuyler crouched discreetly and picked up a loose piece of paper. While straightening up again, she scanned the sheet, then handed it to the other girl, not recognizing the writing as her own.
"Here." Once the paper left her fingers, Schuyler took one step to the side, ready to walk past the girl who'd been unnecessarily rude and head once more in the direction of her class. I'm going to be late... Schuyler glanced up at an antique clock made of dark, well-lacquered wood. Already late.
Her eyes flicked back to the other girl. She couldn't help but partially blame her for how late she was, though she knew that for the most part the fault was hers.
"What class are you off to?"
Schuyler had no idea what had made her ask the question. She gave a mental shrug; if she was going to be late anyway, it wouldn't hurt to waste some more time with casual conversation.

Well if there was a word to describe her it would be rude. She was that kind of person well until you get to know her then she can acutally be a nice person she just has a tough outer shell. She just looked at the girl surpessing her anger. With a sigh she relaxed and said "Sorry I snapped at you, just have a lot on my mind." Jessica wasn't a;ways the tough girl she knew how to be nice which was a shocker. With a sigh she got up.
She replied to the girls ealier question "History, most likely the worst subject ever!" she sighed dramaticly and looked at the girl again and thought to herself "Guess I'm going to be late, oh well its not my first and not my last." she said "So whats your name? I'm Jessica Drake." she then spoke again "So what class are you heading off to?"

Schuyler was rather surprised by the other girl's apology, not used to receiving kindness from her peers. She fought to keep the shock and surprise from showing on her face. She'd seen this girl around school on many occasions, and she knew that most students feared her attitude, her strength; Schuyler had thought she'd be dealing with a total bitch, but in stead she'd received an apology.
"Oh I don't mind History all that much. One of my easiest subjects." She smiles to herself, as if enjoying a private joke. History was one of the easiest subjects for most blue bloods; they didn't need books to know what happened, they remembered it, they were there.
"I'm Schuyler Van Alen." If she wasn't completely rejected by this girl before, she surely would be now. She knew that most Duchesne students tried to avoid her; she was too strange for their crowd.
"And I'm on my way to math." Schuyler cutely wrinkled her nose as she made a face. "And that subject...I am not so good at."

What can I say Jessica was in a good mood of course it was rare. Lucky for the girl she now knew as Schuyler. Then of course Jessica knew whom she was talking to, the freak on campus just great good thing no one was around. Then she thought of the last name Van Alen and thought out loud "Van Alen I think my dad mentoned that last name once." she drifted into deep thought. Then with a few blinks she came back to reality.
With that Jessica looked up and said "Math I am pretty good at that though I can't pay attention long enough for history, oh well." then she looked up and thought "She must think I am so strange. then she let out a sigh and thought about that last name Van Alen and she pondered when she had heard it. She remembered when her dad had been in quiet whispers about something called a blue blood and whatever that was.
OCC: She is the most clueless blue blood EVER!! lol

Jessica's comment on her last name perked her interest. Having a family as mysterious as hers, with no parents to explain things, could make a child very curious. Her lips curved in a smile; maybe she would discover something relevant of her past from this girl.
"Really? Where are you from again...originally?"
She knew that her last name was very well-know, they'd been one of the richest families in New York; quite some time ago. However, she'd overheard some conversation, knew that Jessica wasn't from NYC originally.
"Lucky...haha. I've tried understanding math, but it just doesn't make sense to me. My brain is made for other things." Schuyler chuckled, watching Jessica with expecting eyes, waiting for any clue she may drop, any information.

Jessica thought and then replied "I am from England, and moved here when I was five." it wasn't really something everyone needed to know but it was interesting, then she thought of it, she remembered where she heard it. "I remember when I heard it now, my dad was talking to someone and the last name Van Alen came up after something about my mother, you see she disappeared a week after my birth." she wanted to meet her mother so she could ask was was happening to her, the wierd blue lines on her arms weren't exactly normal.
